E& Y Acceptance Speech
Well thank you Lord Young, I very much appreciate this.
[Turns to audience]
Well I know what you’re all thinking, I’m so much more pretty in real life than on video……[points to black eye] let this be a warning to all on the dangers of Botox. [audience laughs]
There are two main groups of people who are ultimately responsible for any business success. I’d like to thank our clients who literally have made us into this success and also the people who work with me. In all my time in business, I have never worked with such bright, innovative and passionate people. The level of commitment to Latitude is exceptional and I appreciate any reflected glory I get from them.
I would also like to make a special mention to the people on table 52. I have surrounded myself tonight with people that I know without each of them I wouldn’t be stood here tonight [audience claps]
And finally, I’d like to dedicate this trophy to Paul McDonald. Paul worked with us in the early days, until on FA Cup Final day two years ago, he was killed in a car crash aged 23. I believe in Paul we have the soul of Latitude, and I dedicate this award to Paul. [loud applause]
