Create a Mobile Website for Business with Google Sites

According to Google, only 17% of all businesses they work with currently have a mobile optimised website. Google also find that 61% of mobile users are unlikely to return to a site they had trouble accessing, and 40% would go and visit a competitor instead. Mobile web adoption is accelerating 8 times faster than desktop did in the 90s, and already we see that approximately 5% of UK website traffic is coming from mobile devices.
So it has now become essential for businesses to cement their mobile web presence as quickly as possible. Happily, Google have just launched a free tool to help businesses to do just that. Quickly, and easily, and with no coding experience required!
The tool is called “Google Sites Mobile Landing Pages”, and lets you build a mobile website using customisable templates. There are templates for Lead Generation businesses, eCommerce (using Google Checkout), local businesses and restaurants. Company logos and images can be uploaded, allowing you to replicate the look and feel of your desktop website. It even has one-click Google Analytics integration!
This is big news for business owners, who may have previously been faced with prohibitively high costs or technological barriers when thinking about establishing a mobile optimised website.
You can find the tool here – http://www.google.com/sites/help/intl/en/mobile-landing-pages/mlpb.html. If your website isn’t yet optimised for mobile, you should take a look at this today!
