Google looks to dispel analytics rumours

The Adwords Agency Blog has taken a step to dispel this myth by explicitly stating that ad conversion has no affect on your quality score in a recent blog post.  I doubt very much whether this will be enough to dispel the rumours as everyone loves to hate Google.  However, it does show that Google is acknowledging their existence, and possibly taking them as a true threat to Google Analytics’ future growth.  I mean, would you install it if you thought it was going to mean a hit to both page rank and quality score?  I don’t think so.

I am sure there will be more to come on this, and don’t be surprised if a future blog post also tells us how Google Analytics has no influence on page rank.  For now, should you steer clear of Google Analytics? No.  It is still free, and it is still the easiest way to integrate conversion data into your Adwords account.  Until somebody proves otherwise, it is still just rumours and conspiracy theories; I’ve certainly not yet seen any concrete evidence yet to back them up.
