Google Now has a Tag Line

Google now has a tag line, the new line is ‘Search, Ads and Apps’ and this clearly shows Google’s ambition to become the leading light in other areas apart form search.
CEO Eric Schmidt revealed the tagline in a meeting with the shareholders this week, and gives a huge indication that the search giant is very keen to compete in other markets outside of online search related advertising. Google put a big push on its office software last year, with the October launch of Google Docs and Spreadsheets, its free word processing and spreadsheet offering.
This is on top of things like Gmail, TV Deals, Page Creator, Video and Press advertising. I think it will be interesting to see how all of these diverse areas that Google are stepping into are integrated back into the AdWords system.
I was reading an article earlier this week about how you can now book printed advertising via the AdWords interface so it has started.
Google’s mission statement for years has been, ‘to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.’ and this rings true as they move into all these other informational areas.
