Google Pause Mortgage Comparison Engine!

You may have already seen this but over the past few months Google have been trialling a comparison campaign for mortgage companies over in the UK and following an initial trial Google have decided to pause the product (with what seems like immediate effect).

Various people had concerns over the way it was presenting data and filtering the portfolio of lenders, aswell as the way they presented themselves at the top of the Search listings (above sponsored search J) and it appears they must have enough data now to take learnings and begin the review process ahead of relaunching.

Suggested insight and discussions are that this will come back bigger and better (especially with the use of Beatthatquotes expertise in the sector)in a few months time.

Google are likely to add even more financial products to its mix following the already established Credit Card comparison product that was migrated and adapted in a similar fashion recently (see below).
