Latitude Digital Marketing Appoints Richard Gregory as New MD

Latitude Digital Marketing, part of Callcredit Information Group, today announces the appointment of Richard Gregory as Managing Director effective from November 2012.

Gregory joined Latitude in 2002 and after a variety of roles culminating as COO, and will now take over as part of a strategic succession plan. Alex Hoye was appointed in 2008 and since that time Latitude has aggressively expanded its digital products, focused on technology solutions and international growth including launch of the Dubai office, and sold to Callcredit in January 2011.  Alex will leave the business to take the helm of the retail business he co-founded before joining Latitude – Faction Skis.

As well as his ten years in the business, Gregory brings his vast experience of the digital sector. Gregory has been heavily involved in successful delivery of cutting-edge marketing campaigns for a range of clients such as the Royal Mail Group, Fitness First and bet365 both in the UK and overseas. He was the first chair for SEMPO UK, the professional search engine marketing and a non-executive for mobile start-up MymCart.com. Gregory is also the co-founder of SAScon, a leading digital marketing conference.

Gregory’s focus will be on accelerating Latitude’s targeted display and analytics offering in addition to its best-in-class search capability.  He will also be capitalising on high-growth opportunities in the MENA region, working with more data-driven opportunities enabled by Callcredit and extending the international reach of Latitude’s European market-leading SME re-seller product used by BT, 1&1 and others.

“After ten years in the business it’s a proud moment for me to take the reins at Latitude.” Richard explained.  “With a strong platform built together over the past years, we are in a position to accelerate growth and profitability even faster with one of the most seasoned executive teams in the business. I want to thank Alex for his support both as a CEO and a mentor and wish him every success in his next challenge.”

Alex concludes, “It is never easy to leave a family like we have here at Latitude, but I could not be more proud of or confident in Rich and the team.  The past four years were exciting in digital marketing and I am pleased to leave a deep, ambitious bench building on a platform of growth, with revenues and gross profit up over 30% year-on-year in a UK market growing at less than half that rate and consistent profit growth.”

Richard Gregory also spoke to the Drum in regards to his appointment.
