LONDON - The RSPCA, Abbey and IBM are among the businesses that have seen their direct marketing campaigns shortlisted for this year’s IDM Business Performance Awards.

The Institute of Direct Marketing received a record number of entries this year for the digital categories of the awards, which recognise exceptional contribution by direct marketing to the overall success of a business.

The full shortlist for the Diamond Award is:
Abbey by Tequila\London
BT Business by OgilvyOne Worldwide
Haven Holidays by Latitude Group
IBM by Connection2
RSPCA by Mike Colling & Co
Thomson by WDMP Communications
Virgin Media by Rapier

There will also be silver and bronze awards made to entrants on the shortlist and, if judges feel it is appropriate, a highly commended award.

Adrian Gregory, managing director of the awards sponsor DQM Group, said: “The standard of the work from these finalists is testament to the wealth of sheer talent and dedication within our profession.

“The number and quality of entries in the digital categories in particular have been exceptional.

“The judges saw not only campaigns which were striking, but which also produced outstanding results for the entrants’ business.”

The award winners will be announced at a dinner on May 29, held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington and hosted by the comedian Paul Thorne.

Tickets to the event can be purchased online.
