Latitude Network Dinner: Dating

Just as we did for the Latitude Network Dinner on gaming, last night we enjoyed a great evening in the lovely wine cellar private dining room of Le Boudin Blanc in Mayfair. The occasion was a Latitude Network Dinner on the subject of dating online.

We routinely get people from specific sectors together to talk about the challenges and issues facing their vertical, and to give them the chance to ask us about anything search-related. (Last night, in addition to those who run online dating sites, we also had Heather Hopkins, Director of Research for Hitwise UK, along to discuss some of the trends she’s spotted in online dating.) While there’s quite a lot of ‘shop talk,’ the intimate setting and relaxed atmosphere means that it’s anything but a stuffy occasion. And yet I still forgot to mention this story I spotted on Techdirt recently: Married Man Sues to Get on Dating Site.

Thanks to all who attended for a fun and revealing evening. Don’t worry - the dating questionnaires you all filled out have been destroyed! (Really, they have. Promise.)
