Linkbaiting – A Black Hat turned White

It’s funny how the comments on Linkbaiting posted on techies blogs have significantly changed over time, in their appreciation of the technique. Whereas strong phrases such as “manipulative trick”, “ploy”, “camouflage” were still frequent just a year ago to describe the technique, now there seems to be a more general consensus on the overall benefits that Linkbaiting can bring.

So how exactly did the perceived Black Hat trick turn into a White Hat SEO tool?
