Live from SES…
By Jackie Danicki - Blogger in Events |Search Engines |Yahoo
I am in San Jose, California this week - as are Latitude’s CFO, Julie Moran, and Director of Innovation, Andrew Redfern - for Search Engine Strategies. Hundreds of people from around the world have descended on Silicon Valley for the premier event in the search conference schedule - to learn, to share, to network...and to hit the conference party circuit.
For readers of the Latitude blog who are in San Jose this week, I’d like to invite you to a party I will be having tonight in Menlo Park. We’re billing it as the Unofficial SES Tailgate Party, even though it’s not being held on any tailgate, but in the private room at the British Bankers’ Club pub and restaurant in Menlo Park. It’s a chance to meet with Silicon Valley locals who are deeply involved (or obsessed) with search and/or the web industry in general, have a few drinks, and gather strength for the rest of the week’s soirees. No joke: Last year, Yahoo took over Paramount’s Great America amusement park for all SES attendees to have free run of the place. (There are rumours that something similar will be announced this week, but I am not holding my breath.)
Watch this space for updates (and party pics!), live from SES San Jose, throughout the week.
