Yahoo’s Smarter Ad’s

By Jon Myers, Director Of Search  in Search Engines |Yahoo |Search Technology

Yahoo is improving its online offerings with the launch of SmartAds, a behavioural targeting ad campaign which displays ads that are tailored for the customers who are more likely to buy the advertised products from the previous searches they have made.

The New York Times reported today on the new Ad system and what it is looking to do is to combine Yahoo data on demographics’, geographic and behavioural targeting. It will take this all into account and allow the ad system to create customised ads in real-time.

SmartAds will allow advertisers create copy for ad’s that they have live as the user visits the website, targeting them with copy specific to their location and recent product searches.
