Google is adding application icons to iPhone and Android targeted PPC adverts that have the ‘Click to Download’ option enabled.

To enable the application icon make sure the “Destination URL” field includes a full link to where the app can be downloaded in the app store, then Google will automatically find and display the icon that is registered in the iTunes App Store or the Android Marketplace.

This enhances the visibility of the advert and adds an extra level of trust with the logo showing alongside the advert and “click to download” call to action.
