Halloween by Numbers: The 2017 Edition
We love it.
But when it comes to Halloween, we really go to town.
In fact, the UK spends millions collectively every year on Halloween costumes.
But what are they spending their money on exactly?
What’s the popular choice for this year?
Well, with a little insight from Google Trends, we designed this spooktacular infographic.
It'll come in handy if you’re on the hunt for a last-minute costume that’s a bit different from the norm.
So, what should you dress up as this year?
You don’t need Google Trends to tell you how popular Harley Quinn was last year. You can blame the release of Suicide Squad for that one.
Expect Stephen King’s It to have a similar impact this year – with many people predicted to dress up as the terrifying clown Pennywise.
In fact, search interest around the term ‘Pennywise costume’ has rocketed in recent weeks, so we’d recommend staying at home and shutting the curtains tonight if you have a fear of clowns.
Failing that, enlist your trusty lion dog to protect the house from any unwanted trick or treaters…
