ActivInstinct is the UK’s largest independent specialist sports retailer.

The Challenge

International expansion presented a growth opportunity for ActivInstinct in key territories across Europe: France and Germany. ActivInstinct required support from a digital marketing partner that would help them drive sales and conversion through PPC.

Latitude was challenged with driving sales, ROI and bringing the cost of a sale to a profitable level, whilst growing the campaigns to ensure coverage across ActivInstinct’s full product portfolio. Optimising advert copy and messages to enable rollout of promotions and offers on products was also a priority for these campaigns.

The Solution

Latitude carried out a full audit on ActivInstinct’s campaigns and benchmarked them against best practice. This resulted in a roadmap of tasks and activity that would drive performance and high impact.

Some of the key tasks carried out in the initial stage of the campaign included:

  • Developing an advanced brand and keyword strategy, ensuring full coverage across all manufacturer brands
  • Considerate use of the correct language for advert copy in line with cultural differences by territory, and nuances in language, whilst working closely within the brand values and guidelines to ensure consistent positioning of ActivInstinct’s brand Latitude then re-structured the account to allow the campaigns to be scaled up to cover all key product areas.

The strategy allowed the campaigns to be managed efficiently and any changes in product, price, stock or offers to be implemented quickly and accurately.
